Why Parampara

What you get that a folder cannot give you.

  • Only you can open it.
    Not even we can.

Your vault is locked on your phone with a key made from your passphrase, and the passphrase never leaves it. We keep only the locked copy, so there is nothing for us, or a thief, to read.

  • A reminder before
    every due date.

Turn on reminders and Parampara tells you before a premium is due, an FD matures or locker rent is payable. Amounts never show on the lock screen.

  • If you go quiet,
    your family is let in.

Turn on Check-in and choose every 30, 90 or 180 days; opening the app counts. If 44 days pass with no word, what you chose to share opens to your family, and they are told before it happens.

How it works

Set it up once, in three steps.

Not paperwork for its own sake.
One less thing for them to carry
on the hardest day.

Why it matters

₹1.84 lakh crore

is lying unclaimed in banks, insurance and savings across India, by the government's own count. Not because it was hidden, but because no one wrote down where it was.

Why you can trust us with it

  • We sell you nothing.

We are not an insurance company, so we have no reason to look at your things or push you to buy.

  • Kept in India.

Your locked vault sits on servers in India, and the app follows India's DPDP Act.

  • Your own things stay free to open.

Opening your vault, reading everything in it and exporting all of it stay free in every case, even if a paid plan comes one day.

Questions

What families ask before they start.

See every answer
Do I have to scan all my papers?

No. Writing down what you have and where it is kept is enough. You can add photos or PDFs of the papers to any entry if you want to.

What if I forget my passphrase?

Use your recovery code. The app shows it to you when you create your vault. If you lose both, nobody can open that vault, including us. That is the cost of a vault we cannot read, so keep the code somewhere other than this phone.

What does “only in an emergency” mean?

The person sees nothing for now. If something happens to you, they can ask for access from their app. You are told at once and get 7, 14 or 30 days, as you chose, to say no.

How do I sign in?

With your email address. We send a code that proves the address is yours. Your passphrase is separate: it opens your vault, and only you know it.

I am changing phones. Will my vault come with me?

Yes. Install Parampara on the new phone, sign in with the same email address and enter your passphrase. Your vault is there.

Is the app in Hindi?

Not yet. The app is in English for now. This website is also in Hindi. हिंदी में पढ़ें

Start with one thing today.

Your main insurance policy takes about two minutes: what it is, which company, who the nominee is, and where the papers are kept.
